Your email we understand is an extremely important part of today's business and it's imperative to have it working 24/7.
Before we start on settings it is ESSENTIAL that you have some method of backing up your emails as frequently as you possibly can. We cannot stress how important this is and the amount of 'if onlys' we hear after a laptop has been lost/stolen or a hard drive failed (this happens more often than one would think). We do not keep backups of your emails, our servers should only be considered a temporary placeholder for your mail until you receive it, after this any mail on the server disappears. Again, BACK UP YOUR EMAILS!!
